Our Scentsy Wickless Candle Story

Our story begins October 2005. After the birth of our 2nd daughter, and resigning from a management position I held for 16 years in the banking industry ~ I still felt an obligation to help fulfill family finances. Scentsy Wickless Candles had this, and continues to provide this today. I was invited to a neighbors " Candle party", and being very reluctant to go~ I went anyway. The second I stepped in the door and smelt "Spiced Orange Harvest" warming in the "electric candle warmer" which utilized a 25 watt light bulb, I was sold. The whole simple Scentsy concept captured me and was something I wanted to be a part of and share. I signed the very next day, and surprised to learn my consultant number was #166. I never intended to build a team of my own, however, it all began to fall into place and I couldn't help but spread the news of what I'd been introduced to, and what I felt was important to share in regards to the safety factors of this fabulous product~ not to mention the wonderful compensation that came with it.

November of 2006, I became a Director with 28 wonderful team members and Scentsy was growing strong.. July 2007, I hit bottom~ life happens. I lost motivation, enthusiam, and spark. I was ready to give it all up and walk away and leave behind team members, new friends, and my Scentsy business, my Scentsy team Wickless Scentsations. Convention was just one month away, and I had canceled 4 times in the past 3 months. It was set in my mind, I was done. I didn't want to hear anything else about it. Then I received a call from a great friend and very respected individual, he said " I've heard through the grapevine you're not coming to convention. You need to be here, you need to hear the speakers, you need to be here for your team~ you need Scentsy and Dorothy- Scentsy needs you" I sat down that night and talked to Rick ~ he said the same- you need to decide what you want to do. You get off the fence and make this happen, or jump ship now and move on~ but keep in mind you have 28 people in your organization that YOU have an obligation to. I know you will do the right thing. Convention, August 2007 changed my life, and changed the lives of our family. I came home with determination, I came home with goal set, and I was going to make it happen. November 2007, with 78 team members I advanced to Star Director. Then April 2008, I advanced to Superstar Director, the highest rank within Scentsy ~ 4 months sooner than the goal I had set for myself at convention.

Scentsy Wickless Candles has blessed our lives. My driving force~ the success of each one of my Wickless Scentsations family members. Without the strength of each one of the leaders in my organization, each team member within their groups, incredible friends I've made in the Scentsy family that continued to support me through my roughest times, and the amazing support of my husband, our daughters, sons and daughter-in-laws, I would not be where I am today.

Following the Inspirational Scentsy Philosophy we've learned from Scentsy conventions past, Rick and I implement this into our daily lives "Give more than you take" We completely believe this. By following this very simple rule within your personal live and your business~ much success will come to you. "Think Big, Grow Big~ Think Small, Grow Small". Advice for Others

Don't be afraid to follow your dreams. Surround yourself with positive successful people. Don't let negative surrounds influence your decisions. Remain humble and remember where you came from~ help others achieve their goals by mentoring, training, and motivating~ be sincere in offerings. 'Give more than you take' the rewards are priceless
